House Hunting

I don't know why I think it is a good reason. I don't even know if it's possible to get out of a house that I owe more than it's worth.
Buy a house, instead of renting an apartment they said. You will throw your money away to the landlord they said.
Buying a house is an investment that never fails they said.

I am looking at a 4 unit house going to 73k. I owe 71k on my house. God knows what it is worth. All I know is Rob and Angie's house just sold for 60k in a better city/neighborhood.
I will have to sink another 20k into this house I'm told, but then I can rent out the other 3 units and it will pay for itself.

I'm leaving in 10 minutes to see it. Wish me luck. I'll come back and update!

Just don't make any rush decissions. Take your time, research the options, put together a plan and stick with it. Also, don't keep dropping the price to try to sell it, gives off the impression that you are despriate to sale or that there is something wrong with the house. Personally I like the rent option, but I haven't see the place. I hope it works out for you, I know it can be frustrating.

But Wednesdays have Pushing Daisies and Sons of Anarchy! If you're not watching either of those shows I would highly recommend giving them a shot.

What the hell?
All I know is if you leave I am going to kick your ass!!!!
4 units, huh?
Hmmm...
You could ask your lender if they will do a short sale of your house... they might with the state of the economy?
Good Luck.
This house better be close!

PS- I was looking online last night for houses in England in tears. I wanna go back! :(

Booya - the place was crappity crap crap. The realtor suggested buying something new for myself and renting my current house, or I'll lose money. There's got to be a way to get out of this house without damaging my awesome credit!

Scooter - Guy/Gal? Guess I should check out their blog, eh?

Cindy-lou - Sons of a whatcha say? Never heard of it. Maybe I'll check it out, but then when will I schedule my stare off in to space day?

Andrea - yeah, I was pretty much looking in the area that I forbit you to look because I didn't want to drive that far to visit you.

I am terribly excited for you and am living vicariously through your homeownership whilst I sit cableless in an overpriced hovel in New York City. Oh, and I have a crack in my bathroom ceiling and am expecting my neighbor's tub to land on my head any day now.

Tra la! Tra la!

Don't be an assface and leave the area you made me move to! Well, I probably would have anyway but still... don't make me drive me all the way out there for the next million years until we are able to sell our house too!
