I'm going to cook this child if it doesn't warm up soon.

Oh how I dream of a long soak in a hot tub that is set just a couple degrees too hot. I dream of the sting that I feel in every pore of my body as I lower myself into the steaming bubbling water. I am one big goose bump lately and I long to be over heated so that when I exit the hot tub and step in to the cold winter air I will not even feel it. I want to be so warm when I get out I can see the steam rise off of my body as I put on my robe.

I'm told I would cook this baby and cause permanent damage if I were to enjoy a hot tub. I'm still thinking about it. I'm just sayin' is all. I'm fucking cold. My office is cold. My fingers and toes are really cold. I don't remember the last time winter felt this cold. And it's taking forever! I think spring should automatically start after we have had a total of 2 feet of snow. Or maybe I should just move south. When the market bounces back. Aaaahhhh ha ha ha ha ha.

I promise to not go in a hot tub for the rest of the interim.

I want to go in a hot tub too!
Well, if I do I will keep it to myself!
I am typing this while shivering in my basement.

Fuck winter.

keep talking like that and i will start bombarding you with the info of the 'what could happen'.

Fuck winter is right. It's snowing in NY for no good reason.

I don't think you can cook the baby. I took a few baths when I was preg. Just try not to get your belly that wet. Once you're in your third trimester, that'll be easy! Just lay on your back...

i don't mean to be rude but krissyface is very wrong about that. a hot bath sure - because most home water heaters the water is set to 103 or below. plus with a bath the water sits and cools even just a degree or two.

"Excessive heat can cause spina bifida. The American Medical Association reports that women using hot tubs are almost three times more likely to have a child with spina bifida. Sauna use and/or fever greater than 100 degrees also increase the risk factor."

I know Kris! I feel so... psyched! To be hated by sucha nutjob means 1. I got under his nutty skin and that's just funny because he's so annoying, and 2. I like the attention. Oh and 3. I must have hit upon the truth for him to get so worked up right? So now he's actually questioning his nuttiness, which is fabulous, even though it will only make him nuttier.
I think you should report him as well when he does that, but then I don't tknow if I want to go through the hassle myself.

as i said - not an attack. i have spina bifida in my family and a predisposition to it so i ended up learning quite a bit about it.

i had to spend the winter months of my pregnancy with a hot tub right in my driveway LITERALLY that i couldn't use. there were tears.

Oh, and far as the hot tub issue - I am thinking Kris means the bath tub. I would have to scrub it thouroughly first (neurotic) and then my fat ass is too big to enjoy my small tub anyway. Hot tubs are a big no-no, as they heat up your core temp (oh how lovely that sounds)and the fetus cannot regulate it's temp, so it can get all fucked up. It's like 0 today outside. How about just 5 minutes in the hot tub? *whimper*

ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah, kris, not a hot tub a hottub as in whirlpool, fully submersed body in 104 (i prefer 106 myself) degree swirly water. mmm does sound good. but not for kim or there is separated spine parts and swollen head and whatnot.

106... yeeeeessssssss.... Now it sounds perfect. 106 degrees of stinging turn my skin bright pink water. The kind that hurts so good when you first force yourself in to it. Water so hot that I have to sit on the side after 15 minutes because I start to feel light headed. This baby's probably already messed up - I might as well go for it. :0D

yeah guys...I meant the bath tub.

Whoopsy!

Now when I think of a preggers lady in a hot tub/whirlpool, the image of cooked lobsters comes to mind...probably not so good...

but mmmm. lobster.
